Privacy Policy
TheLooped ("the application") is a private, internal tool operated solely by the TheLooped team to publish original video and photo content to the social media accounts we own — including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. It has no public users, no sign-up, and no user-facing service. This policy describes what data the application handles and how.
Use of platform APIs
The application uses the official APIs of the platforms we publish to, solely to upload our own content and set its metadata (title, description, caption, publish status) on accounts we own:
- YouTube API Services. By using YouTube API Services, the application and its operator agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data in connection with YouTube API Services is described in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- Meta platform APIs (Instagram Graph API and Facebook Graph API), governed by the Meta Platform Terms and the Meta Privacy Policy.
- TikTok APIs, governed by the TikTok Terms of Service and the TikTok Privacy Policy.
What data the application accesses, collects, and stores
- Access credentials of the operator only. The application authenticates with each platform (via OAuth 2.0 or platform access tokens) as the single operator's own accounts. The resulting tokens are stored locally in a configuration file on the operator's own computer. They are never transmitted to anyone other than the respective platform, never shared, and never stored on any server.
- Our own media files and metadata. The application uploads video files, images, and metadata that we created ourselves. It does not download, scrape, or store data belonging to other users or accounts on any platform.
- No third-party or user data. The application has no users other than its operator. It does not collect, process, or store any personal data of any other person, and it does not access platform data on behalf of anyone else.
Cookies and tracking
Neither the application nor this website uses cookies, analytics, advertising identifiers, or any other tracking technology.
Data sharing
The application shares data only with the platform it is publishing to (Google/YouTube, Meta, or TikTok), solely to perform the upload the operator requested. No data is sold or shared with any other party.
Data retention and deletion
The only stored data are the operator's own access tokens, kept in a local configuration file. They are retained only as long as the operator chooses to keep the application authorized and can be deleted at any time by removing the local configuration file.
In addition to deleting stored tokens locally, access can be revoked at any time through each platform's own settings:
- Google account access: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Meta business integrations: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools
- TikTok connected apps: Settings → Security & permissions → Apps and services in the TikTok app
Revoking access immediately invalidates the stored tokens.
Changes to this policy
If the application's data handling ever changes, this page will be updated before the change takes effect.
